Aisha Augie-Kuta is a photographer and mixed media artist who lives and works in northern Nigeria. Aisha left her job as a Human Resource manager to pursue commercial photography in 2008. Her work spans across documentary, fashion and aerial photography. She uses juxtaposition in her work as her way of pushing the idea that there are always two sides of a story; this comes from her background in photojournalism and Mass Communication. Her personal projects explore issues of gender and identity influenced by her experiences as a female, mixed race and mixed tribe individual who struggled to fit in earlier in life.
